<h2 data-start="0" data-end="13">Results</h2>
<p data-start="15" data-end="170">The highest priority before and after launch was to simplify the work of the editors and provide both them and visitors with a better website experience.</p>
<p data-start="172" data-end="502">– We have received fantastic feedback from both PRO and the editors. The response has been that users find the website easy to work with, visually appealing, and accessible. PRO has also done a great job of informing members about the new website and app, which has increased both interest and engagement, says Veronica Eksmo.</p>
<p data-start="504" data-end="1061">The Consid project team also set up dashboards for PRO in Looker Studio, allowing for analysis and tracking of key results. The new pro.se now averages 23,000 visits per month (as of December 2024) and was a finalist in the 2024 Sitevision Awards for Best Marketing Website. Additionally, the site received a high rating of 4.64 out of 5 on Webperf, which measures the performance of critical public-sector websites. Compared to the previous version, pro.se has climbed 20 ranking spots, confirming its accessibility and functionality.</p>
<p data-start="1063" data-end="1504">– We are extremely satisfied with the results. We see increased internal use of the website, as more associations have started utilizing their pages, and overall site traffic has risen. Already, about 10% of PRO’s members have downloaded and started using the app, which I consider a strong number given that most of our operations have traditionally been analog, says Frida Enroth, digital strategist and web project manager at PRO.</p>
<p data-start="1506" data-end="1771">Regarding the app, measurements taken at the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025 show 18,000 downloads and 2,000–3,000 daily users. At that time, the app ranked as the fourth most downloaded in its category on both the App Store and Google Play.</p>
<p data-start="1773" data-end="2149">– The post-launch follow-up for both the website and the app has exceeded expectations. We have received highly positive feedback from PRO at the national level, but especially from editors and members. Editors find it easier to do things correctly, which in turn enhances the visitor experience. Now, we look ahead to refine and improve even further, says Veronica Eksmo.</p>
<p data-start="2151" data-end="2236">Frida Enroth and her team at PRO are also looking forward to continued development:</p>
<p data-start="2238" data-end="2609" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="">– I’m excited to further develop both the app and the website. I especially want to work on the features and requests we had to prioritize out in this first phase, as well as explore new ideas and functions that will benefit the associations. With the app’s launch, we have now unlocked many more opportunities to enhance communication between associations and members.</p>

<p>To maximise efficiency within the short project timeline, Consid adopted a strategy where one team member was responsible for UX design, development, and project management. By aligning closely with standard solutions and minimising communication handovers between UX and development, valuable time was saved. This eliminated unnecessary confusion and delays that can otherwise occur during iterative design processes.</p>
<p>The close collaboration between the delivery lead and project manager enabled rapid internal coordination and weekly meetings with the client. This allowed the team to continuously present progress, answer questions, and support the client in using Sitevision. Open dialogue was a key factor – it gave the client the opportunity to share ideas and suggestions in real time, which could be implemented where time allowed. At the same time, future development needs were identified.</p>
<p>The result was a modern and user-friendly website, accessible to visitors and flexible for the client to continue developing. The solution ensured that the client is not locked into a fixed structure, but can adapt both design and content to future needs.</p>
<p><strong>– By combining UX design, development, and project management in one role, we streamlined the work, avoided unnecessary bottlenecks, and ensured a smooth project flow. The close dialogue with the client allowed for quick adaptations, resulting in a flexible and future-ready solution</strong>, says Joanna Hellman, Delivery Manager at Consid.</p>
<p>The project received positive feedback from both the project owners and their leadership team – clear proof that Consid’s approach and commitment created real value.</p>

As planned, we launched vest-telemark.no in February 2025 – and Vest-Telemarkrådet has received the modern, appealing design and reliable functionality we expected from our new website</strong>, says Anne Aasmundtveit.</p>

<h2>The challenge</h2>
<p>EfD is a value-creating organization with an important purpose. Here at Consid, we can really benefit and make an impact by helping with the digital challenges. The organization is committed to the environment and wants to create a sustainable approach to the environment, worldwide. That is a big responsibility. We at Consid are therefore very happy that we were entrusted to help EfD.</p>
<p>The mission included developing a new website in English that provides decision-makers, researchers and the general public with easy access to the latest research results on the application of the environmental economy to sustainable development in the global south, ie non-OECD countries. The website as it was before Consid came into the picture was of an older model and had great potential for improvement. EfD therefore wanted a new concept with new design as well as improved functionality and new functions.</p>
<p>There were many challenges with this project. The organization includes a large publication database with a large number of researchers who are affiliated with the organization. Each center therefore has its own researchers whose research can be published by the center&#8217;s communicators. The collaboration also takes place between a large number of universities around the world. This includes many languages, cultures and centers that should be able to collaborate on the web. The site will function as a platform for researchers to be able to publish their writings and articles on and where politicians in their home countries will be able to obtain relevant information.</p>
<p>Additional challenges with this project also included the meetings that were arranged between many parties from several places around the world, and that these were mainly arranged through digital meetings due to. pandemic. We also needed to clean up EfD&#8217;s data that was on the existing web, as there were a lot of duplicates of publications.</p>
<p>&#8211; The research available at EfD means that countries can be lifted out of poverty. It therefore naturally feels great to be involved in developing this website, says Mattias Andersson, developer at Consid.</p>
<h2></h2>
<h2>The solution</h2>
<p>The existing platform was to be further developed and here Consid got free hands around the design. The customer had already chosen to invest in Drupal CMS. Their old website was built in Drupal. We therefore made a migration to Drupal 8 from Drupal 7. A new design of responsive theme was developed and we cleared away old data, and did a re-design of the menu. Previously, the editors created the menu manually, now it happens automatically instead. We also produced a clickable organogram. As there are many developing countries that are connected to the web, great emphasis was placed on optimization, so that it works quickly. Here we saw e.g. to the fact that the pictures on the web were not too big.</p>
<p>What is unique about this website is how we designed the In Site solution. The web has a completely new graphic profile and design and the landing pages are built completely dynamically. You can thus create a new center and then include the submenu automatically &#8211; something that did not exist before. There were also previous restrictions in the navigation due to the menu and there was a lack of a homogeneous presentation of all centers as all center pages looked a little different. The whole web was simply in need of elaboration.</p>
<p>We also produced overview pages where you can now go into the UN&#8217;s sustainability goals and filter to get to a specific goal. The entire publication page was redone as well. EfD is also investing more and more in larger research programs with participants from several centers. &#8220;Programs&#8221; in the menu did not exist before but were now developed with the same functionality as for the center and you can take part in publications, news and researchers. Here we also developed the personal register in a completely new way, with new design, architecture and filtering so that you can easily access everyone who belongs to a certain center or program. Now there are simply all publications in one place where you can filter by, for example, author or category. Each researcher can also be found under their own page where you can download their publication. Under &#8220;Topics&#8221; you can read about different research areas and click on to each page. There you can take part in publications under each area such as education, water, energy and air quality.</p>
<p>EfD has a large number of videos on its Youtube channel. These videos are now also available to watch on the web.</p>
<p>&#8211; I’m so impressed with Consid’s professionalism, good cheer and skill throughout this complex project. I&#8217;ve worked on a number of these projects before, and the people I’ve collaborated with at Consid are at the top of people I&#8217;ve worked with. <h2>The result</h2>
<p>The result is an improved and more developed web. With new features for improved functionality and easy access are now available:</p>

<li>Look Ahead Navigation that reduces the number of user clicks to navigate the site.</li>
<li>Product filters that enable users to quickly narrow down the portfolio of research publications.</li>
<li>Responsive design that allows the website to be compatible with all browsers and mobile devices.</li>
</ul>
<p>Now EfD has a foundation that they can develop further, as the platform is dynamically developed. In addition, it now has a completely new, fresh and graphically appealing design adapted to all operating countries.</p>
<p>&#8211; We are very proud to be able to launch our new EfD website. We know that there is a serious lack of robust data and research that is necessary for the green transitions required for sustainable development in Africa, Asia and Latin America. This new website gives us an opportunity to showcase our research and our collaboration programs that contribute to evidence-based policies for poverty reduction and sustainable development. We hope that academics, civil servants, decision-makers and the general public will find this information useful in their work towards a sustainable future, says Gunnar Köhlin, head of EfD.</p>
<p>Before the launch in the summer of 2020, we arranged training sessions for the editors. Consid&#8217;s Mattias Andersson trained about 40 editors in how to use the web.</p>
<p>&#8211; This has been a fun and rewarding project. It feels good that we can make use of the opportunities of the digital world &#8211; and for such an important purpose, says Pär Svensén, customer manager at Consid.</p>

<h2>About EfD</h2>
<p>EfD is an environmental economic organization that is coordinated from the Gothenburg School of Economics. Environment for Development (EfD) was founded in 2007 and is a global network of environmental economic research centers focusing on environmental and development challenges in developing countries. Today, the network consists of over 200 skilled environmental economists with many different specializations. The network is coordinated by EfD Global Hub, which is located at the School of Business, University of Gothenburg. Financial support is provided primarily by Sida.</p>
<p>EfD&#8217;s centers are located at leading academic research institutions in the 13 countries of Chile, China, Colombia, Central America, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and Vietnam. Trust-Ocean – Revolutionary system for environmentally friendly shipping

<h2>The challenge</h2>
<p><a href="https://lund.se/">The municipality of Lund</a> faced the challenge of updating their website and requested an intuitive and visually appealing website, where the visitor easily would find information.</p>
<p>In addition to the web itself, another aspect of the project was to develop websites for the municipality&#8217;s marketing websites such as <a href="https://visitlund.se/en">visitlund.se/en</a> and for the secondary schools.</p>
<p>Working on a tight timeframe, we quickly established that the new web should be a continuous build on the current website foundation and give the various stakeholders/owners the opportunity to customize the identity of their own websites.</p>
<h4>The five aspects of this project included</h4>
<p>Five different areas were included within the framework of the project. These were:</p>
<ul>
<li>Concept and strategy</li>
<li>Design</li>
<li>Development</li>
<li>Test</li>
<li>Management</li>
</ul>
<h4>Content migration</h4>
<p>Lund Municipality&#8217;s previous platform was Episerver and therefore the content migration was an additional challenge.</p>
<p>Therefore, Lund Municipality&#8217;s chose to do a manual migration which gave them the opportunity to clean up and update all content. This was a comprehensive project where the client&#8217;s project manager Karin Stigbahr did an excellent job with structuring the content and managed to keep the editors engaged. Resources from Consid also developed updated content.</p>
<h4>External image management and calendar API</h4>
<p>Implementation of external image management was also included to ensure that it would be enough for the editors to work with images in the external service, making it possible to store all photos in one place. We also integrated the event calendar, making it possible to display selected calendar events via API that are published in an external service.</p>

<h2>The solution</h2>
<h4>Sitevision – simplicity and flexibility with high performance</h4>
<p>We chose Sitevision, which is not only very easily navigated, but also flexible with its functions. The advantages of Sitevision are many, including that it is a logical tool for editors with no experience. Another notable feature is the possibility to create multiple types of pages at once and controlling the appearance. It simply gives freedom under responsibility.</p>
<h4>“Professional, consistent delivery”</h4>

<h4>Lund.se – an intuitive and modern website</h4>
<p>The new website has provided great opportunities for customizing content on your workspace. The website now includes smart solutions for presenting substantial amounts of content and has become more user-friendly. Lund municipality now has an intuitive and modern, responsive website with a seamless integration connecting to external systems, simplifying the creation of new campaign pages and websites.</p>
<h4>High scores in Webpref&#8217;s report on municipal websites</h4>
<p><a href="https://webperf.se/reports/2021-november-kommuner/">Webperf&#8217;s report</a>, ranking Sweden&#8217;s best municipal websites, shows that the outcome of the new website is incredibly successful.</p>
<p>The overall rating of the website has increased from 2,625 to 4,155, where the maximum score is 5.0. Lund.se has thus gone from place 269 to place 26.</p>
<p>The website has also made great progress in the various sub-categories, where one ranking stands out – increasing the accessibility score to the maximum score and thus moved from place 132 to first place and moved from place 220 to place 21 in the web standard category.</p>

<p>After a comprehensive and long-term effort, Eskilstuna Municipality has achieved impressive results. <a href="https://webperf.se/reports/2025-januari-offentlig-sektor/">The website is now ranked as the best public sector website in Sweden according to Webperf measurements</a>, a clear testament to the success of the management work.</p>

<p>The automated solution has simplified the work at Halmstad University and brought several benefits. Thanks to real-time updates of educational information, the risk of errors is minimized while editors save time. The old solution, where course syllabi were presented as PDF files, has been replaced by more accessible and visually appealing web pages. The new pages better support the university&#8217;s marketing needs than before.</p>
<p><i>– The project was vague at the beginning—for everyone. Consid has been a true partner, helping us not only achieve our goals but also driving the project to completion. They have handled our uncertainties and changing needs during the project very well,</i> says Håkan Fasth, coordinator at Halmstad University.</p>
<p>One of the major improvements is that programs and courses are now automatically linked between the Swedish and English offerings using Sitevision’s translation API. This is a feature that didn’t exist before and has made editorial work much smoother.</p>
<p>Despite the project team lacking previous experience with Ladok integrations, they succeeded through an agile methodology and close collaboration with the client in identifying high-value solutions. Many ideas emerged during the project; for instance, the functionality with dashboards was not part of the original plan. The dashboard solution provided editors with a clear overview and the ability to manage educational information directly in the CMS system without switching between different systems.</p>
<p><i>– We will save a lot of time and money now that we have better conditions for troubleshooting thanks to the dashboard. The communicators now enter the educational texts into Ladok instead of Sitevision, ensuring that the information is up-to-date and giving us the security of knowing that the texts are always saved in the source system,</i> says Emely Niemi Jonsson, web strategist at Halmstad University.</p>
<p>The result is a smooth, modern, and user-friendly solution that simplifies the work for Halmstad University and provides a better experience for visitors.</p>
