The Consid Gala

The Consid Gala is Consid's annual event held in Stockholm City Hall every autumn. Awards are presented to both internal and external entities that have excelled in driving digitalization and gender equality forward in Sweden and the IT industry.

Looking back at one of Consid's highlights - the annual Consid Gala. Every year, we gather a packed Stockholm City Hall to celebrate the year's successes, successful projects, new colleagues, honor role models, and have an unforgettable evening we'll cherish!

The Consid Gala – An Evening of Commemoration and Togetherness

Consid annually celebrates the company’s achievements and honors individuals worthy of recognition from the past year. In recent years, the festivities have been held at Stockholm City Hall, gathering 1,500 attendees. Previous hosts such as Johan Rheborg, Petra Mede, David Hellenius, Carolina Gynning, along with various live bands and, notably, the presentation of the recurring awards “Digital Influencer of the Year” and “eQualizer of the Year,” have been key elements of a successful gala night.

External Awards – Celebrating Role Models of the Past Year

We aim to highlight digital role models who have made a significant impact on public discourse. Under normal circumstances, the award ceremony takes place in the Blue Hall at Stockholm City Hall. Consid’s CEO, Peter Hellgren, serves as the host and, along with past winners, presents the awards.

Digital Influencer of the Year

The Digital Influencer of the Year award is presented to an individual who, throughout the year, has shown great entrepreneurship and commitment using digital means and has made a noteworthy impact in the digital sphere. In 2022, entrepreneur and musician Björn Ulveus received the award. In 2021, Pernilla Nyrensten, CEO of Revolution Race, was the recipient. Bianca Ingrosso was named Digital Influencer of the Year in 2020, and in 2019, the award was given to journalist and author Frida Boisen.

eQualizer of the Year

The eQualizer of the Year award is presented to an individual who has admirably advanced the gender equality agenda within the IT industry over the past year and has played a significant role in steering the industry in the right direction in the future. In 2022, the award went to Tilde “7licious” Byström, the captain of the Swedish women’s national e-sports team. In 2021, Lovette Jallow, a lecturer and entrepreneur, received the award. Gunilla von Platen, a business leader and radio presenter, was the recipient in 2020, and in 2019, the eQualizer of the Year was Hélène Barnekow, the former CEO of Microsoft Sweden.

Digital Rising Star of the Year

A new addition in 2022, the Digital Rising Star of the Year award is presented to an individual or initiative that has emerged as a rising star within the digital world during the year and has shown potential to make a significant contribution to digital development in the future. The award was given to Petra Tungården, founder of Adoore.

War Child Award by Consid

The recently established War Child Award by Consid shines a spotlight on individuals or organizations that have made special efforts for vulnerable children. The winner is granted 40,000 SEK to donate to a cause in line with War Child’s mission, as Consid is a partner of War Child. In 2022, the award was given to Klas Berling and Anki Lidén, founders of the Tim Bergling Foundation. The year before, both the artist Carola Häggkvist and the Children’s Ombudsman Elisabeth Dahlin received the award.

Digital Honorary Prize of the Year

The Digital Honorary Prize of the Year was established in 2022. The first recipient was Danny Lam, the founder of the Instagram account @TNKVRT. 185,000 Swedes follow Danny Lam’s daily insights into society. Through his platform, he spreads knowledge and information on numerous socially critical issues, with gender equality, inclusion, and social injustice being important pillars.
