With experience of performing at the highest international level and building strong teams in business, he now takes on the role of strengthening Consid’s position in Western Sweden.

From the top of the sailing world to Head of Sales

As Björn Allansson steps into his new role as Head of Sales for Consid’s Western Region, he brings with him a background few can match. With experience spanning both the business world and international elite sports, he carries a drive shaped far beyond conference rooms and sales meetings.

– The common thread in everything I’ve done is the desire to grow and to keep moving forward—even when facing headwinds, he says.

Over the years, Björn has worked extensively in sales, business development, and leadership, with a strong focus on building high-performing teams and long-term customer relationships. At the same time, he has competed at the highest international level in Olympic sailing—at one point reaching the very top of the world rankings.

It is precisely this combination of performance, structure, and teamwork from elite sports that defines his leadership today.

– In elite sports, you quickly learn that results don’t happen by chance. They are built every day through the right culture, discipline, and clear goals. That’s a mindset I bring into everything I do.

Drawn by the culture

Choosing Consid was no coincidence. The company has been on Björn’s radar for years, not least because of its entrepreneurial culture.

– I’ve been impressed by Consid for a long time. When Carl Hagberg, whom I’ve worked with before, reached out about the role, I immediately became curious. The more people I met within the company, the clearer it became that this is an environment I want to be part of.

The role itself was especially appealing as it combines driving business with developing people.

– Being able to both drive business and build teams is something I’m truly passionate about.

A coaching leadership style

Björn describes his leadership as clear and coaching, with a strong emphasis on trust and shared goals.

– I want to create an environment where people can perform at their highest level. It’s about being clear on direction, but also about giving people the space to grow and develop.

His experience of both competing at an elite level and coaching high performers has given him a deep understanding of what it takes—not just to succeed, but to sustain that success over time.

– Mental strength and the ability to handle both success and setbacks are crucial. And perhaps most importantly: never stop developing.

Strong potential in the West

Looking at Western Sweden, Björn sees a region full of opportunity.

– There’s a strong business landscape here, a high level of innovation, and a significant need for digital development. The potential is enormous.

His ambition is clear: to further strengthen Consid’s position as a natural partner in the region.

– We need to stay close to our customers, truly understand their business, and help them move forward in their initiatives.

People make the difference

For Björn, however, one thing outweighs everything else:

– It’s all about the people—every single day.

He is convinced that success is built on having the right team, the right culture, and a shared focus.

– Trust, clarity, and common goals are the foundation. A strong team is one where people take responsibility for the bigger picture, support each other’s success, and dare to challenge one another.
