Aleksandra Iwańska

From the laboratory to business – meet Aleksandra Iwańska, Head of Business Development / IT & Engineering at Consid

For Aleksandra Iwańska, the journey did not begin in meeting rooms or business discussions – but in the laboratory. With a passion for science and a clear vision of contributing to the pharmaceutical industry, she chose to study biotechnology and earned a Master of Engineering degree in the field. Already during her studies, she took her first professional steps at a chemical company, where she worked on developing certified reference materials and was active in an organic chemistry laboratory.

When passion meets opportunity

Over time, however, her path began to shift. As engineering and technology became increasingly integrated with modern solutions, Aleksandra’s role evolved – and she moved into business development. It proved to be a natural next step.

– In the end, I found myself exactly where my personality thrives – as an energetic extrovert who enjoys listening and meeting new people, she says.

From technology to relationships

The transition into sales was not entirely straightforward. The early days were challenging, despite her social nature.

– I remember it being difficult at the beginning – picking up the phone and explaining what we do. But over time, I realised that all people have one thing in common: they want to be heard and understood. Ultimately, it is about solving a problem and delivering value. My role is to show how we can do exactly that.

Today, she brings that insight into every client interaction. For Aleksandra, sales is not about selling for the sake of it, but about building genuine relationships.

– My motto is to get to know the person first, then the business. Honesty, openness and empathy are central to everything I do. I do not see myself as someone who pushes solutions, but as a conversation partner who wants to understand and contribute.

Choosing Consid

When the opportunity to join Consid arose, it was the values – and the chance to build something new – that attracted her.

– The Swedish culture and the opportunity to build a brand in Poland from the ground up felt very exciting. I immediately saw that Consid is a partner with whom I can create something truly unique in the market.

Experience that creates value

With several years of experience from companies such as ALTEN and Hays, Aleksandra has developed a deep understanding of the IT and engineering business. She particularly highlights the importance of combining technical knowledge with a flexible approach and the ability to see the bigger picture.

– Experience from different projects helps you “connect the dots”.
That is when you can truly take on the role of a trusted adviser, not just a supplier.

She describes the Polish market as dynamic, with clear growth in sectors such as industry, manufacturing, logistics and finance. At the same time, technological shifts – not least within AI – are driving new demands and challenges.

– To remain relevant today, companies need to adapt quickly, both technically and organisationally. That is where we want to be a partner that contributes the right expertise and perspective.

More than a supplier

Partnership is central to how Aleksandra views Consid’s offering.

– We should not be just another supplier that assigns a consultant to a project and considers the job done. What truly appeals to me about Consid is its approach to people – investing in consultants and creating value both for them and for the client. That makes a real difference.

Relationships are also something she carries strongly from her previous roles.

– The relationships I have built over the years are still with me today. These are people who reach out to me as Ola – not just as a job title. That means a lot.

Looking ahead

Looking ahead, her ambition is clear: to establish Consid as a strong player in the Polish market, where quality, reliability and partnership are at the core.

– I would like to bring the best of Swedish culture and combine it with the Polish one. We have outstanding specialists in the market, and what Consid offers is something that can truly stand out.

What motivates her most right now is the opportunity to build something from the ground up.

– New experiences, building something from scratch, and meeting new people and hearing their stories – that is what inspires me the most. I come in with a lot of energy, an open mind, and a strong ambition to help shape a new image of what a supplier can be in Poland.

Ultimately, it is about solving a problem and delivering value. My role is to show how we can do exactly that.
