The IT Sector’s Exception: Continued Growth Despite Economic Downturn
Despite a persistently challenging market environment, tech company Consid is starting the year with growth. In the first quarter of 2025, the company increased its revenue by 7.1 percent, and its order intake rose by 14.5 percent compared to the same period last year. This suggests a growing willingness to invest, despite the prevailing economic climate.

– It’s worth mentioning that this growth, both in revenue and sales, is entirely organic. We continue to grow through increased trust from the market, purely on an organic basis. We have a stable customer base, a business model that works, and incredible employees who consistently deliver and exceed our clients’ expectations, said Peter Hellgren, CEO and founder of Consid.
At the same time, Consid ranks among the top Swedish IT providers in terms of winning public sector contracts. A new report from Tendium highlights Consid’s top placement and also indicates increasing demand for services in AI and cybersecurity—areas in which Consid has strong expertise.
This growth is supported by several new customer agreements, both within and outside Sweden. Consid’s strategy of focusing on organic growth, talent development, and local presence continues to deliver results, gaining significant traction internationally, particularly in Germany, Denmark, and Norway.
– We’ve seen that our combination of technical excellence and local presence is appreciated by both new and existing customers. Being able to balance demand across geographically distributed teams has been a key driver, especially over the past six months. It allows us to continue growing even as the broader market slows down, Hellgren added.
Looking ahead, Consid will continue its efforts with a strong focus on innovation, customer value, and employee development, and remains optimistic about the rest of 2025.
