LAN Party and Top-Tier Play: ECEC Final 2025

It was a weekend to remember as the ECEC finals took place at Glitched Arena in Jönköping. With excitement, nerves, and strong crowd support, the grand finals in both Rocket League and Counter-Strike 2 delivered unforgettable matches.

The atmosphere was electric from Saturday morning as teams arrived, and when streaming legend Tjebz stepped in as caster, the esports celebration was complete.

In the Rocket League final, XL Boys faced off against Rudbeck in a thrilling best-of-five series. The matches were tight and fast-paced, but XL Boys showed the most composure and teamwork when it mattered most. With a 3–1 series win, they claimed the title in the fourth round.

– We’ve had an incredibly fun weekend here in Jönköping, and we’re really grateful to have been part of this experience! It feels amazing to win, and I’m incredibly proud of the boys – they’ve fought so hard, said Kevin Näslund, team captain of XL Boys.

Once the dust had settled on the Rocket League pitch, it was time for the action in CS2. Team Inet faced off against da HIVE, who had to make a late roster change after one of their star players withdrew. Substitute Joaquito stepped in, and despite the nerves and new team dynamics, da HIVE held their game together.

However, Inet proved why they are a top-tier team. With two straight victories, they closed out the series quickly and decisively. Their teamwork was flawless, with clear structure, solid communication, and confidence in every move.

– Winning is always great, and it’s awesome to showcase Inet and the tech we love! The entire ECEC event was really well-organized, the staff were friendly, and we felt extremely well taken care of, said Erik Fermergård, team captain of Inet.

The 2025 ECEC finals were a clear sign that Swedish esports continues to grow — both in gameplay quality and event production. Glitched Arena in Jönköping delivered a weekend full of adrenaline, laughter, and pure gaming joy. And perhaps most importantly, two deserving champions were able to lift their trophies to the cheers of the crowd.
