Annual report 2021

Is there any clearer sign than winning an award where the company’s own employees get to have their say? We don’t think so.
We are incredibly proud to have taken first place in Universum’s annual survey ranking Sweden’s Best Employers. Or, as Henrik Sandell, one of Consid’s founders, put it when accepting the award:
“It is especially rewarding because it reflects how our employees view the company. Consid has had an exceptionally low staff turnover rate for many years. This is yet another proof that people enjoy working at Consid.”
Our growth journey continues along the same path and this year has shown that there are hardly any limits. Over the year, we hired no fewer than 400 new colleagues, which means we are entering 2022 with more than 1,300 Consid employees. And do you know the best part? Our journey has only just begun.
Norway – we’re here now! During the year, we expanded beyond Sweden’s borders for the first time and established ourselves in our dear neighbouring country to the west. We have already grown to 10 colleagues in Oslo and initiated several collaborations with both customers and partners, and we look forward to seeing what 2022 will bring as we continue our expansion in Norway.
From Luleå in the north to Lund in the south. During the year, in addition to our expansion into Norway, we established ourselves in five new locations across Sweden, which we are incredibly pleased about.
We look forward to what 2022 will bring in terms of further expansion and are very excited to welcome many new talented colleagues to our five new locations across Sweden.
During 2021, we took important steps in our ambition to become the most sustainable company in the industry. Among other things, we joined the UN Global Compact and the Science Based Targets initiative.
We also continue to work towards a more gender-equal industry through our equality initiative Q Rendezvous, and to strengthen future skills supply in the sector through Consid Youth Education.
Our partnerships with Läxhjälpen and War Child, together with our involvement in that year’s Musikhjälpen campaign, form an important part of our work to ensure that all children have the right to education.
We had done it before, and this year we did it again. We added another book to the shelf when Folkhemmet 4.0 was launched during the Uppstart Sverige event hosted by Dagens industri.
Folkhemmet 4.0 is a portrayal of our time, here and now. The book is based on Consid’s Digitala Influencer-podden and the interviews with some of Sweden’s leading voices in digitalisation.
When the pandemic hit the world, we chose not to cancel, but to adapt. That was true in 2021 as well, when we carried out several nationwide activities for all Consid employees.
To name just a few, we barbecued together with guidance from chef Frederik Zäll, celebrated Halloween together with fantastic costumes, celebrated Easter with what may have been Sweden’s biggest digital taco party, and also held a nationwide crayfish party. In every case, employees’ friends and family from across the country were invited to join us for a number of enjoyable evenings together, spread out across all corners of Sweden.
And last, but certainly not least, at the end of May we held Consid The Experience – a conference experience we will not soon forget. The concept allowed all our employees to create their very own conference experience, anywhere they liked, doing whatever they most wanted, while the conference sessions themselves were held digitally.
And yes, we saw just about everything – from mountain climbing, sport fishing and kayaking to spa visits, beer tastings and rounds of golf.
When, for the first time in a very, very long time, we had the opportunity to meet in real life again at this year’s Consid Gala, we did what only Consid employees can do – with full star quality from start to finish.
With a 1920s theme and a glittering Gatsby-inspired celebration, we enjoyed an unforgettable evening in the Blue Hall, complete with a fantastic three-course dinner led by none other than David Hellenius. Awards were presented to both employees and role models within the industry. Read more about them here.
We are already excited to see what surprises next year’s gala will bring.
2021 was the year Consid truly stepped into the world of e-sports through our partnership with the Swedish Esports Federation (SESF) – a collaboration aimed at strengthening SESF and developing e-sports in Sweden.
Not least, as a partner to the national team, we were part of the journey that ended with Sweden standing at the top of the podium as the overall winner of the World Championship in Eilat, Israel, in November that year. In addition, through the partnership, we had the opportunity to support the schools that took part in the School Championship, where the winners went on to the School World Championship in Kyiv, Ukraine.
We look forward to continuing our focus on e-sports and our partnership with SESF. And we can already reveal that we have quite a lot more in the pipeline within the world of e-sports. Keep your eyes open in early 2022.
Can you code and work with e-sports at the same time? Of course you can! And this year, we did just that for the fifth year in a row when our hackathon Considition celebrated its fifth anniversary.
This year’s hackathon focused on sustainable transport and e-commerce logistics. Budbee was our partner, and together we created a challenge that nearly 200 teams competed to solve in the best possible way. The winner of Considition 2021 was Team Gillden, represented by Filip Björnåsen from Mölnlycke.
We have once again been named a Super Company by Dun & Bradstreet and a Career Company by Karriärföretagen.
This is the ninth consecutive year we have received the Super Company award and the seventh consecutive year we have received the Career Company distinction — something that would never have been possible without the commitment of all our fantastic Consid colleagues.
