Accessibility for an Inclusive Society
A new accessibility law comes into effect in June 2025. This means that the private sector must also take responsibility for ensuring digital services are accessible to everyone – regardless of the different ways we consume and interact with information online. At Consid, we support you every step of the way, from initial analysis to implementation and follow-up.

With over 20 years of experience developing apps, websites, intranets, and digital platforms for Sweden’s largest public organisations, we dare to call ourselves true experts. We understand what it takes to meet accessibility standards and can help you adapt your digital services to reach all users. Join us in making the internet a better, more inclusive place.
Everyone – regardless of ability – should be able to access information online. Accessible websites and apps aren’t just important from an ethical standpoint. They’re often faster, easier to use, and more likely to rank higher in search engines like Google.
Access to information is a universal right, recognised in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). In the EU, this is supported by the European Accessibility Act. The law aims to improve access to digital products and services for people with disabilities. EU Directive 2016/2102 has applied to the public sector since 2021, and will extend to private companies in Sweden starting July 28, 2025.
At Consid, we’ve spent decades helping government agencies, companies, and organisations build accessible digital solutions. Our experience gives us the tools and know-how to support your organisation through the entire process – from first idea to final delivery.
What is the Consid Accessibility Audit?
Our accessibility audit is a detailed review of your current website or app, measuring compliance with the Web Accessibility Directive. We use guidelines from WCAG 2.1 and the newly introduced WCAG 2.2 to identify accessibility gaps and offer practical solutions.
Need help with accessibility? We’re here – don’t hesitate to reach out.
An accessibility audit is the first step toward compliance with the Web Accessibility Directive. At Consid, we begin with a status review of your website or app – evaluating how well it aligns with WCAG guidelines and what improvements are needed.
You’ll also benefit from our extensive experience and insights into best practices for accessible design in both apps and websites.
And the benefits go far beyond compliance: accessibility isn’t just the right thing to do – it’s also good for business. Accessible websites tend to perform better in search rankings, and improve usability for all visitors.
How we work with our clients
- Comprehensive accessibility evaluation
We assess the strengths and weaknesses of your website or app based on international standards such as WCAG 2.2 AA. This includes both automated tools and manual reviews. The results are presented in a structured report, with identified issues, fulfilled criteria, and clear recommendations for improvement. - Technical improvements and implementation
Our consultants make the technical changes needed to meet accessibility standards. This may include restructuring code, using semantic HTML, adding text alternatives to non-text content, and ensuring full keyboard navigation. - Screen reader optimisation
We make sure your website or app works smoothly with screen readers by structuring content and metadata correctly – essential for users with visual impairments. - Improved contrast and readability
We adjust text and background contrast for better legibility and use clear, readable typography. We also make sure users can increase font size if needed. - User testing
We conduct tests with users who have different disabilities to identify real-world issues that automated tests might miss. - Team training
We offer training for developers, designers and other key staff to ensure they understand how to design, implement and maintain accessible digital products. - Ongoing support
Accessibility is not a one-time fix – it’s an ongoing process. We provide regular updates and audits to ensure your website or app remains accessible over time. - Need help with accessibility? We’re ready to support you – get in touch!
