An independent pre-study ahead of selecting or implementing a DAM solution
The pre-study is structured into four phases, including interviews, information gathering, workshops and best practice analysis. The scope can, of course, be tailored to your specific circumstances, with focus on where Consid can deliver the greatest possible business value. The objective is to provide a clear recommendation on which DAM solution best meets your current and future needs, as well as to present an overarching plan for implementation and migration.
1. Mapping the current state
The first step is to build a clear understanding of your current situation and the prerequisites for introducing a new DAM solution. This is achieved through a series of interviews or workshops with stakeholders identified together. During these sessions, we map business rules, ways of working and define key use cases. Combined with any constraints relating to budget, priorities or timelines, this provides a comprehensive picture of the current state.
2. Verifying processes and IT landscape
The next step focuses on identifying and documenting any system dependencies, integrations or policies that may influence or limit which vendors are viable options. The existing system architecture, non-functional requirements and future ambitions are assessed and aligned with both the current state and your strategic vision. Finally, we define an appropriate strategy for migrating existing content.
3. Vendor evaluation
As an independent advisor, Consid provides a transparent comparison of different DAM vendors to identify the solution that best meets your long-term needs. Based on insights from the previous phases, Consid recommends one or more suitable vendors or products. To support decision-making, we also present a high-level project plan and indicative budget. A key part of this phase is also our recommendation regarding the appropriate team structure for your DAM initiative, both during and after implementation.
4. Knowledge transfer
Finally, all findings, conclusions and recommendations from the pre-study are documented. The results are presented to stakeholders, ensuring that everyone involved receives clear feedback on the outcomes and next steps.
