Google has begun rolling out its new AI feature, AI Overviews (formerly known as SGE – Search Generative Experience), in Sweden. What is AI Overviews?

AI Overviews use generative AI to summarize information directly within the search results. Instead of only showing links and snippets, users will often see an AI-generated response at the top of the results — typically combining information from multiple sources into one cohesive overview.

As a result, some of the traffic that previously went directly to websites may now stay within Google’s search results. In other words, users can get the information they need without clicking through to another site.
