Data-driven and future-proof website for OKG

OKG had a strong need to elevate its public website – a project that had been started but not completed. With a setup in Strapi, Consid created a solution that provides data-driven insights, faster publishing, improved performance – and a simpler, more future-proof digital workflow for OKG’s editors.

A industry building from the outside. There is a sunset that shines yellow light over the building and road. There is also a sign that says "OKG" in front of the building.

About the client

OKG (Oskarshamns Kraftgrupp) operates power production at the Oskarshamn nuclear power plant on the Småland east coast. OKG is a unique energy hub supporting societal welfare and is also part of Sweden’s fossil-free energy supply. The company takes responsibility for the entire nuclear lifecycle and, in addition to producing fossil-free electricity, carries out the responsible decommissioning of facilities that have been taken out of operation.

Strapi solution for a fast launch

When Consid took on the assignment for OKG at the beginning of 2024, a public website was already under development by another supplier – but the project had stalled. Consid stepped in mid-process and quickly redirected the work with a feasibility study and clear prioritisation. The solution was to complete the delivery in Strapi to shorten lead times, reduce risks, and create a stable, efficient workflow for the editors. The assignment included a new public website, the structuring of a data-driven way of working, and the management of OKG’s intranet and media bank.

Data-driven and future-proof approach

Consid entered an ongoing process but recognised the importance of building its own insights to ensure a stable delivery. Therefore, the project began with a feasibility study and risk analysis that provided a clear roadmap: a step-by-step launch from MVP to stable operations and continuous improvements. OKG’s new website was built in Strapi with a headless architecture, clear content models, and support for flexible components. The frontend was distributed via Netlify for fast global performance, complemented by hosting in Azure.

To strengthen the overall impact, Matomo and an SEO audit were implemented to establish KPIs for traffic, visibility, Core Web Vitals, and conversions – enabling decisions based on real results. Consid also took over management of the intranet and media bank, ensuring smooth ongoing development with SLA, release workflows, and structured backlog management.

Throughout the entire project, Consid has demonstrated a professional approach with the client’s best interests at heart. Strong presence and availability have contributed to a smooth and positive journey from start to finish. Even the challenges that arose were handled exemplary, with solution orientation as a constant guiding principle. The well-functioning collaboration and fast support have resulted in a final product that meets – and even exceeds – expectations.

More continuity, higher efficiency, and happier editors

The project – from feasibility study and decision basis to delivery in Strapi – was completed quickly and in a controlled manner, shortening the time to launch and reducing risks. The new solution combines Edge delivery via Netlify with hosting in Azure, providing short response times (TTFB), high availability, and easy scalability. OKG’s editors now experience faster and more intuitive publishing thanks to clear content models and components in Strapi. With the KPI framework and Matomo/SEO audit, OKG can now work in a data-driven way and prioritise initiatives that create real impact over time. The framework agreement and Consid’s broad maintenance responsibility provide a long-term structure that ensures continuity and stability across the website, intranet, and media bank – forming a strong foundation for continued digital development.
