Modern workplace with Microsoft 365
Modern workplace is about creating well-functioning digital workplaces with people at the centre, workplaces that support the entire organisation. Our approach always starts with understanding how we can create real value for the customer. At Consid, we continuously strive to maximise the value we deliver. In this partnership with Sonat, that meant educating them in how to use the digital workplace effectively, enabling them to build a solution tailored to their needs and, in turn, train all employees internally.
The challenge
Sonat contacted Consid in early autumn 2020 to discuss their needs. From the very first meeting, both parties realised that something genuinely strong could be built together. Sonat’s clarity and ambition aligned well with our expertise, allowing us to quickly define a clear plan for moving forward. After the initial kick-off sessions, the work progressed smoothly.
The assignment involved replacing the existing intranet platform and creating the foundation for an effective management system. Sonat had employees who were both willing and capable of taking ownership of the solution, but they needed support to become self-sufficient. This is a core part of how we work within our Modern Workplace offering. By acting as a trusted partner, we provided Sonat with the tools and guidance needed to use a platform that offers extensive opportunities for a digital workplace that supports the organisation’s continued development.
With our support, Sonat was able to do much of the practical work themselves and develop their own environment, which in turn created confidence and capability within the organisation. This approach suited Sonat very well. We held workshops together with two employees from Sonat’s IT department, focusing on how to use a modern platform to achieve the desired effect.
Sonat had wanted to initiate this work for some time and, with renewed energy and new team members, decided to move forward. Consid was able to guide them clearly and pragmatically throughout the process.

The solution
The platform used was Microsoft 365. Sonat already had the licences in place, but they were not being used to their full potential across the organisation. There was significant unused functionality, functionality that can go a long way when applied correctly. Our role was to unlock that potential and show a clear path forward.
Through the solution, we helped Sonat structure routines, policies and information about how the organisation operates, information that was previously fragmented or missing. The result was a clearer, more accessible and more coherent digital environment.
The result
Sonat now has a well-functioning digital workplace and management system that is modern and easy to understand for all employees. Information is structured and accessible across the organisation, and the platform is ready for continued development as needs evolve.
