Our experience is that the close collaboration between Vest-Telemarkrådet and Consid was 100 percent successful – and absolutely crucial to the final result.

What was the assignment?

When Consid, acting as a subcontractor and partner to Sitevision, was commissioned to merge Vest-Telemark’s three existing websites into a unified platform (vest-telemark.no), it presented a remarkable opportunity to create a modern, cohesive, and user-friendly digital presence.

The project became a collaboration between Consid and Sitevision Norway, with the goal of delivering a robust and future-proof external website at vest-telemark.no. Simultaneously, the project coincided with Sitevision’s launch in Norway – an added driving force that strengthened the ambition to deliver a high-quality solution from the outset.

– From the very beginning, our content lead was clear that all content should be produced directly within the Sitevision environment, to optimise the development and fine-tuning of modules and functionality. Our experience is that the close collaboration between Vest-Telemarkrådet and Consid was 100 percent successful – and absolutely crucial to the final result, says Anne Aasmundtveit, CEO of Vest-Telemarkrådet.

With a tight timeframe and limited budget, a solution-oriented and focused approach was essential. Thanks to close and efficient collaboration between Consid and Vest-Telemark, a smooth transition to Sitevision was ensured. Although the platform was completely new to the client, with Consid’s support and guidance it quickly became a natural and powerful tool.

– Beyond the technical migration, the project also included a linguistic dimension, which was handled in a way that made the new website both clear and inclusive. This project is a prime example of what can be achieved when expertise, collaboration, and commitment come together, says Annie Ekblom, UX Designer at Consid

What was the solution?

The team began the project by creating a design concept that felt fresh and modern while remaining simple enough to allow for future development. Given the tight timeframe and the extent of the transition, a clean and flexible solution was needed.

Annie Ekblom, part of the web team, combined her expertise in UX and development to create a design that met these requirements. With her experience of working in Sitevision, she was able to quickly produce well-thought-out wireframes based on the platform’s standards. To maximise both time and quality, the team used Sitevision’s standard modules as much as possible, supplemented by custom-built web apps when needed. Despite a limited number of project hours, the team succeeded in streamlining the work without compromising on quality.

– Working within a strict timeframe requires thoughtful decision-making. By leveraging Sitevision’s standard modules and designing for flexibility, we ensured a smooth development process without sacrificing quality, says Annie Ekblom.

What was the result?

To maximise efficiency within the short project timeline, Consid adopted a strategy where one team member was responsible for UX design, development, and project management. By aligning closely with standard solutions and minimising communication handovers between UX and development, valuable time was saved. This eliminated unnecessary confusion and delays that can otherwise occur during iterative design processes.

The close collaboration between the delivery lead and project manager enabled rapid internal coordination and weekly meetings with the client. This allowed the team to continuously present progress, answer questions, and support the client in using Sitevision. Open dialogue was a key factor – it gave the client the opportunity to share ideas and suggestions in real time, which could be implemented where time allowed. At the same time, future development needs were identified.

The result was a modern and user-friendly website, accessible to visitors and flexible for the client to continue developing. The solution ensured that the client is not locked into a fixed structure, but can adapt both design and content to future needs.

– By combining UX design, development, and project management in one role, we streamlined the work, avoided unnecessary bottlenecks, and ensured a smooth project flow. The close dialogue with the client allowed for quick adaptations, resulting in a flexible and future-ready solution, says Joanna Hellman, Delivery Manager at Consid.

The project received positive feedback from both the project owners and their leadership team – clear proof that Consid’s approach and commitment created real value.

– Vest-Telemarkrådet experienced the collaboration with Consid as professional, solution-oriented, and inspiring! As planned, we launched vest-telemark.no in February 2025 – and Vest-Telemarkrådet has received the modern, appealing design and reliable functionality we expected from our new website, says Anne Aasmundtveit.
