Data-driven future for the Øresund Bridge

Øresundsbro Konsortiet needed to modernise its data platform to meet future demands for security, efficiency and AI integration. Consid contributed a dedicated team combining maintenance, support and Business Intelligence expertise – a delivery model that strengthens current operations while paving the way for future AI opportunities.

About Øresunndsbro Konsortiet

Øresundsbro Konsortiet owns and operates the 16 km long, iconic link between Sweden and Denmark – the bridge, the tunnel, and the artificial island Peberholm. With long-term responsibility for the operation, maintenance and development of this critical infrastructure, the consortium also ensures commercial sustainability and service for both private and business customers.

Strategic initiative for a modern data platform

Consid was commissioned to manage and further develop Øresundsbro Konsortiet’s data environment and to lead the migration from Microsoft SQL Server to Microsoft Fabric. The purpose of this transition is to replace the legacy platform with a modern solution that enables scalability, reduces lead times and creates the foundation for leveraging AI-driven opportunities.

Team delivery focused on stability and progress

A Consid team of around five consultants currently works with both maintenance and support, as well as assignments within Business Intelligence. The work includes incident management, continuous improvements and solution customisation. In parallel, the consultants are driving the migration project to Microsoft Fabric, thereby realising requirements for enhanced performance, clearer access control and improved opportunities for data-driven processes. Through close collaboration with the client’s stakeholders, Consid has established the foundation for an efficient and future-proof data environment.

From stable operations to future-proof development

The migration to Microsoft Fabric is halfway completed, already showing clear results: a more stable environment, more efficient data loads and improved data security. Administrative workload has decreased, report lead times have been shortened, and the conditions for AI support and advanced analytics have been strengthened. The delivery has been carried out according to plan, providing Øresundsbro Konsortiet with a stable platform for continued development – both in daily operations and in future innovation initiatives.
