<h2>We give children in war a future</h2>
<h3>Consids develops digital education solutions</h3>
<p>We at Consid support the international children&#8217;s rights organization War Child with technical expertise in the award-winning educational program Can&#8217;t Wait to Learn. Consid&#8217;s consultants develop digital education solutions for War Child and which provide children in refugee camps with digital education. Consid&#8217;s CEO, Peter Hellgren, is a member of War Child Sweden&#8217;s board.</p>
<h3>International Child Rights Organization War Child</h3>
<p>War Child focuses on the at least 160 million children living in war or conflict. The organization is currently present in about 20 countries. Through creative and innovative forms of activity, they combine concrete work in the field with research and method development. The organization supports children to process their traumatic experiences, to build their self-confidence and to dare to trust other people again. Through the acclaimed education project Can&#8217;t Wait to Learn, the organization provides hundreds of thousands of children with the education they are entitled to, but which they have not previously received.</p>

<p>War Child creates a safe environment where children can recover and find the power to break the vicious circle of violence and war. In the long run, this means that the children grow up to be healthier adults with the opportunity to build a stable and peaceful future for themselves, the society and the country in which they live.</p>
<p>War Child cannot reach all children themselves, but their methods can. UNICEF and OCHA are examples of actors who have taken part in War Child&#8217;s expertise.</p>
<p>Within the sustainability agenda, War Child focuses on SDG3 / health, SDG4 / education, SDG5 / gender equality, SDG16 / peaceful coexistence and SDG17 / partnership. Most notable is War Child&#8217;s work to promote mental health and to provide the right kind of psychosocial support (MHPSS) to children in war and conflict.</p>
<h3>War Child Sweden</h3>
<p>War Child Sweden contributes to the international network with cutting-edge expertise on integration, peace and conflict and gender issues. The Stockholm office focuses on a few countries where they build competence around education and mental health. They provide psychosocial support for children and guardians as well as education. The importance of early intervention for mental health can not be overestimated.</p>
<p>War Child Sweden also runs integration projects for newly arrived young people. Together with Scania, they introduce new arrivals to the labor market. In collaboration with Friskis &amp; Svettis, we provide newly arrived knowledge about the right of public access and Swedish nature. Another new collaboration is with IBM, on digitization and newcomers. Consid thus supports War Child with technical expertise.</p>
<p>Recently, War Child was given the prestigious assignment to, along with <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karolinska_Institute">Karolinska Institutet</a>, lead a national network for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support.</p>
<h3>Works worldwide</h3>
<p>War Child works worldwide. From Colombia to Iraq, Congo, Afghanistan and Ukraine. The organization is currently present in 15 countries. What drives the organization is every child&#8217;s right to grow up and develop to their full potential. For no child has ever started a war. Yet they are often the first victims of war.</p>

<h2>About Läxhjälpen</h2>
<p>Läxhjälpen (Homework help) is a non-profit foundation that conducts a targeted and results-focused homework help program for students who are at risk of failing school, so that they reach upper secondary school eligibility. They ensure that students in vulnerable areas receive the help they need and the primary focus is on completing primary school in order to be able to move on to post-secondary education (preferably an IT-related education). The homework help&#8217;s vision is to get more students through the school system so that they can shape their own future. Their homework helpers are carefully selected university and college students with different backgrounds, experience and field of study. The homework helpers function as support for students in homework reading in all subjects.</p>
<p>The homework help measures the grade development for students every year and collaborates with upper secondary schools that are far below the national average in upper secondary school eligibility. When students start at Läxhjälpen, they have subjects that they are not approved for, or are on the verge of not being approved in at least one core subject and do not have upper secondary school eligibility. The students who receive help from Läxhjälpen are selected by their teachers, who have made the assessment that the students will not enter the high school without extra support.</p>
<p>With the help of Läxhjälpen, 80% gain upper secondary school eligibility, 82% increase their self-confidence and 87% gain an increased desire to study further. Today, the homework help program is available at 50 schools throughout Sweden.</p>
<h2>Our cooperation</h2>
<p>Consid&#8217;s collaboration with Läxhjälpen means, among other things, that we contribute computers, screens and other material to their work management and homework help groups. The computers help both the employees to carry out their work, and ensure that the students use good aids in their studies in the homework help groups.</p>
<p>We are also opening up our office premises for teaching and as a workplace for homework helpers and other administrative organizations. We simply want to make a concrete effort to raise the level of knowledge of Sweden&#8217;s future workforce. We are very proud of our collaboration with Homework Help and the fact that we create a real effect for the students that Homework Help helps. Now we have taken it a step further!</p>
<h2>Läxloggen 2.0 (The Homework Log 2.0)</h2>
<p>Namely, Consid has in 2020 created a solution that makes it easier for all homework helpers at Läxhjälpen. It all includes an internal administrative system where Läxhjälpen solves occupancy for its homework helpers and receives time reports &#8211; we have named this internal system Läxloggen 2.0 (The Homework Log 2.0).</p>
<p>Läxloggen 2.0 project is a replacement for the previous system for staffing and time reporting for homework helpers around Sweden. The homework help&#8217;s 500 homework helpers can now easily find out when and where they will work. The system, which is made in Sitevision, also makes the work much easier for the management as it facilitates the administrative work, and that it creates an overview of the business. The system goes live in early January 2021 and replaces the previous system.</p>

<h3>AI Hackathon with Sustainability Focus in Sweden</h3>
<p>Just like in previous years, Considition will make a real impact by finding sustainable and innovative AI solutions in the fall of 2023. This marks the sixth consecutive year of Considition, organized by us at Consid. In previous years, we have collaborated with entities such as <a href="https://budbee.com/">Budbee</a>, the triathlon company <a href="http://ironman.com">IRONMAN</a>, drone startup <a href="https://globhe.com/">GLOBHE</a>, and <a href="http://riksbyggen.se/">Riksbyggen</a> – a company involved in the construction and management of properties. The theme has varied from year to year, but the overall goal has always remained the same – to contribute to a more sustainable society through the use of AI.</p>
<p>Last year&#8217;s edition of Considition was organized in collaboration with Axfoundation – an independent, non-profit organization actively working towards a sustainable society. The theme for the competition last year was &#8220;circular economy,&#8221; and the goal was to develop an algorithm, with the help of AI, that optimized a circular system of bags used for shopping for groceries both in-store and online. This initiative was an extension of Axfoundation&#8217;s project Returbar.</p>
