Record growth over a decade: Consid celebrates its tenth Gazelle
Earlier this autumn, Consid received its tenth Gazelle award, an accomplishment achieved by only two other companies before. In an interview with Dagens Industri, Peter Hellgren, the founder, and CEO of Consid, discusses how a strong work culture is the key to success and how the company continues to grow.
– The economic downturn has been challenging for many companies. While others have made cutbacks, we have instead hired hundreds of new employees, he tells Dagens Industri.
Consid was founded in year 2000 by Peter Hellgren and Henrik Sandell. Today, the company has over 2000 employees and operates in 40 locations across Sweden. Over the last years, the company has also expanded to Norway, Denmark, Germany, Poland, and Finland.
Consid reports strong revenue growth for the third quarter of 2023, with a nearly 17 percent increase in turnover, reaching 524 million SEK. The company also reports its best sales month ever in November of this year, with a 35 percent improvement compared to previous month.
– The strong growth has continued in 2023. In order to continue offering our customers the latest, safest, and best solutions, we will continue to prioritize the professional development of our employees while adding new talents, says Peter Hellgren.
Less than one percent of Sweden’s limited companies meet the criteria to be designated as Gazelles, and only two other companies besides Consid have ever been named Gazelle companies ten times. Dagens Industri describes Consid as “a workplace with the right culture,” something Peter Hellgren believes goes hand in hand with the company’s success:
