Consid has secured key parts of the Øresund Bridge Consortium’s extensive procurement within digital development. The agreement includes ongoing maintenance, continuous development, and project deliveries across the consortium’s core digital services – from public websites and payment platforms to BI solutions and data platforms.
The Øresund Bridge Consortium is responsible for the operation and development of the Øresund Bridge – the 16-kilometre fixed link between Denmark and Sweden – and places strong emphasis on sustainability, customer experience, and the modernisation of its digital systems. This is evident in the procurement documents, where the consortium outlines its ambitions for a cloud-first architecture, a modern data platform in Microsoft Fabric, and a comprehensive upgrade of digital services and integrations.
Extensive Assignment Within Web & App and Data & BI
Consid has been awarded two of the three project and product areas defined in the procurement:
- Web & App. This area includes everything from the public websites (oresundsbron.com, oresundpay.com) to the mobile app, the self-service portal “Mitt konto”, internal tools, and integrations with a wide range of systems such as Navision, TIS2, Auth0, SendGrid and the consortium’s tolling platforms. The assignment covers full incident management, development, architecture, security, performance, and ongoing enhancements.
- Data & BI. Consid will oversee the consortium’s data platform – from managing Microsoft SQL environments and Microsoft Fabric to developing Power BI reports, processing data from 17 source systems, and supporting the consortium’s ongoing transition from on-premises environments to cloud-based platforms.
A Strategically Important Assignment for the Entire Øresund Region
The main procurement documents describe the consortium’s role: the Øresund Bridge is intended to enable economic growth, increased integration, and a stronger cross-border labour market between Sweden and Denmark. The assignment therefore affects central parts of the consortium’s digital infrastructure and customer-facing services.
– This assignment carries unique weight and significance – both technically and societally. The Øresund Bridge is a symbol of connection, and its digital infrastructure must be just as strong as the physical link. We are incredibly proud of the trust placed in us. Working with Web & App and Data & BI means contributing to the modernisation of some of the consortium’s most business-critical systems. Our focus is to strengthen security, sustainability and deliver a first-class user experience, in line with the consortium’s long-term goals, says Peter Hellgren, CEO of Consid.
Jacob Ahlström, BID Manager at Consid, adds:
– We are pleased that the Øresund Bridge Consortium sees Consid as a strategic partner in this digital initiative. The breadth of the assignment – from public websites and apps to an advanced data platform in Fabric – demands both technical excellence and robust delivery capability. We look forward to working closely with the consortium and contributing to the strengthening of the digital services used daily by travellers, businesses, and internal teams.
The agreement runs for four years, with the possibility of a further two-year extension.
