Consid supports NORD/LB as system integrator

Consid has successfully supported NORD/LB in a multi-month project to modernize the bank’s online communication. The core of the project was the migration of the content management platform (CMS) and its technological ecosystem to the bank’s own cloud infrastructure based on Microsoft Azure.

The project aimed to lay a future-proof foundation for the bank’s digital presence – with greater technical flexibility, increased automation, streamlined processes, and reduced operating costs. The migration was implemented in close cooperation between NORD/LB and its long-standing partner Consid, a Scandinavian IT consultancy with deep expertise in cloud platforms, CMS technologies, and long-standing experience with DevOps culture.

– The potential of this lift & shift for further digitalization projects is enormous. In addition to scalability and flexibility, cloud operations open up new avenues for innovative applications – such as AI-powered use cases, said Lars Napret, Executive Vice President at Consid Germany.

– Already today, initial AI-powered functions are integrated to increase process efficiency and optimize content delivery. Additional use cases are in the pipeline.

Cloud-based operations reduce costs and create new opportunities

By migrating to the Azure cloud and leveraging Kubernetes, the bank achieved significant efficiency gains in operations. Internal teams also benefit from the new architecture, which enables greater automation and simplifies operational processes – particularly important in light of the organization’s streamlined structures. The transformation allows for flexible management of system environments as well as automated development processes.

Customers also profit from the new architecture:

– Thanks to cloud technology, we can offer our customers an improved experience. For example, we can use real-time data analytics to better understand customer behavior and preferences, and tailor our marketing messages and offers accordingly, added Astrid Larisch, Online Marketing Specialist at NORD/LB.

Long-term partnership as key success factor

The project was carried out in close coordination with various departments of the bank – including the cloud team, application management, and corporate communications. The collaboration between Consid and NORD/LB is based on a long-standing partnership, which provided a solid foundation for the project’s success.

In addition to rehosting the CMS in the bank’s private cloud and implementing initial AI use cases, Consid supports NORD/LB in continuously developing the technology stack for both internal and external communication.

– We are pleased that we were able not only to further develop the bank’s digital face to its customers, but also to provide operational and strategic impulses for greater digital resilience, said Lars Napret.
