Löfbergs strengthens its AI capabilities for the future of sustainable coffee
Together with Consid, Löfbergs has launched an initiative to strengthen the AI capabilities of its senior employees. Through hands-on coaching tailored to the organisation's day-to-day operations, the company has taken the next step in using AI to support better decision-making, more efficient ways of working and continued sustainable development.
AI is creating new opportunities for businesses to develop their operations and make more informed decisions. For Löfbergs, this means building the knowledge and understanding needed to use the technology responsibly and create lasting value across the organisation.
As part of this initiative, Löfbergs and Consid delivered an AI-PT programme for senior employees. The programme was tailored to participants’ day-to-day responsibilities and decision-making processes, with a focus on turning AI into practical value while identifying new opportunities for the business.
– We’re pleased to have made AI more tangible and relevant for our leaders. Participants have gained practical tools they can use in their daily work, while we’ve also strengthened our understanding of how AI and data can contribute to the long-term development of the business. For us, it’s essential that this technology is adopted in a way that reflects our values and supports our long-term sustainability ambitions, says Fredrik Nilsson, Country Manager Sweden at Löfbergs.
Through coaching based on participants’ individual roles, AI was integrated into practical tasks such as structuring information, analysing data, developing decision support and improving communication.
The initiative has provided the organisation with a shared foundation on which to build. In addition to introducing new ways of working and strengthening AI capabilities, it has also highlighted what is needed to expand the use of AI further, including common guidelines and continued skills development.
For Löfbergs, AI is a natural part of the company’s long-term development. With a strong focus on sustainability, transparency and responsibility throughout the value chain, the ability to work in a data-driven way is becoming increasingly important as demands for traceability and reporting continue to grow.
– When AI becomes part of everyday work, the focus is not primarily on the technology itself, but on the people using it and the business they support. Through the AI-PT programme, Löfbergs has established a shared understanding of how AI can be applied both operationally and strategically. This provides a strong foundation for the company’s continued AI journey and for harnessing the technology’s potential in a responsible and sustainable way, says Christofer Fagerström, Business Developer at Consid.
The initiative marks another step in Löfbergs’ ongoing development journey, with AI set to support better decision-making, more efficient ways of working and stronger collaboration – all with the ambition of continuing to shape the future of sustainable coffee.
