Easter Egg Hunt was a success – in support of Save the Children

As the Consid Easter Egg Hunt 2026 draws to a close, it is clear that this year’s edition has been a great success. During Easter week, participants across Sweden completed thousands of scans, transforming more than 24 cities into vibrant game arenas.

Engagement has exceeded expectations – both digitally and out in urban environments.

– This has surpassed everything we dared hope for. We’ve seen tremendous participation, fantastic engagement, and a real sense of celebration across the country, says Beatrice Carpvik, Brand Manager at Consid.

Golden Eggs Spark Nationwide Excitement

This year’s new feature – the physical Golden Eggs – proved a major success and added a new level of intensity to the competition. Hidden in each city, the eggs were quickly found by participants actively following clues and moving through urban spaces.

– The Golden Eggs created an entirely new level of excitement. It became clear how much people appreciate the combination of digital gameplay and physical activity, says Beatrice Carpvik.

Maximus, 23, from Karlskrona Wins the Grand Prize

Maximus Teglbjaerg, 23, from Karlskrona scanned an impressive 42 QR codes, securing first place in the egg hunt.

– It’s been an incredibly fun competition that also took me to several beautiful places in southern Sweden. At the same time, it felt especially meaningful to take part in an initiative that supports the important work of Save the Children, says Maximus.

Close behind the winner were participants in cities such as Lidköping, Skövde and Borås, where the egg hunt also saw high levels of activity over the Easter weekend.

Strong Contribution to Save the Children

For every QR code scanned during the competition, Consid donated 1 SEK to Save the Children’s work towards creating a safer and more inclusive digital environment for children and young people. In addition, participants were able to make their own donations throughout the competition. Together, this has generated over SEK 25,000.

– What makes us most proud is that every participant has contributed to something greater. Together, we have shown that technology, play and social engagement can create real impact, says Beatrice Carpvik.

A Growing National Initiative

Consid Easter Egg Hunt continues to grow as a national initiative where technology meets physical activity and social good. This year’s edition cements the competition’s position as Sweden’s largest digital Easter egg hunt.

– We’re taking a huge amount of energy with us from this year’s event and are already looking forward to developing the concept further. This is only the beginning, says Beatrice Carpvik.
