Digital Heroes of the Year to Be Named – Nominations Are Open
The nomination process for the Consid Awards 2024 has now begun, and it's time to highlight Sweden's most outstanding digital heroes. This award ceremony has become a central platform for recognizing individuals and initiatives that have made significant contributions to digitalization and technology. Anyone can nominate their role models across a wide range of awards that showcase important contributions to the digital sphere.
The Consid Awards have over the years celebrated figures such as Josef Fares, Björn Ulvaeus, Bianca Ingrosso, and Loreen, and is a prestigious platform for recognizing individuals who have paved the way for innovation and change in the digital world.
– We look forward to once again highlighting and celebrating individuals and initiatives that have truly made a difference. Their efforts are inspiring and crucial for the entire industry’s development, says Amanda Heldring, Project Manager at Consid and responsible for the Consid Awards 2024.
Among the various awards is “Digital Influencer of the Year,” which goes to a person who has demonstrated great entrepreneurship and made a significant impact in the digital space during the year. Previous winners, such as Björn Ulvaeus and Bianca Ingrosso, have shown how digitalization can create new opportunities and transform the way we work and communicate.
Another important award is the “eQualizer of the Year,” which highlights individuals who have worked towards increased equality within the IT industry. Loreen, who won in 2023, has been praised for her commitment to human rights and gender equality issues.
– It is both fun and important that we highlight and celebrate digital role models from across Sweden, both nationally and locally. We truly hope that many take the chance to nominate their digital heroes for this year’s Consid awards, says Amanda Heldring.
The “Digital Rising Star of the Year” award honors individuals or initiatives that have quickly established themselves as prominent in the digital sector. Nastaran Baleng-Soultani, founder of Space Academy and a previous recipient of the award, is an example of someone who has inspired a new generation to explore coding and game development.
Finally, the “Digital Lifetime Achievement Award” is given to a person or organization that has made a real difference in society through digitalization. Journalist Frida Boisen and Danny Lam, founder of @TNKVRT, are previous recipients of this prestigious award.
At last year’s ceremony, Frida Boisen emphasized the importance of being able to speak about mental health and creating an open culture online.
– I am passionate about digitalization, I am passionate about storytelling, but I am also passionate about daring to share that sometimes life is tough. It’s not always a party, and when we dare to talk about that—dare to show vulnerability—that’s how we get through everything, Frida Boisen said during the award ceremony.
With a strong focus on digital innovation, inclusion, and change, the Consid Awards 2024 hopes once again to recognize and inspire new heroes. The nomination period is open until October 4th.
