From Da Buzz to E-type – a Jubilee Beyond the Ordinary

The beaches of Tylösand were transformed this past weekend into a glittering festival site as the IT consulting firm Consid gathered 1,200 employees to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Over the past two decades, the company has grown at lightning speed – and the celebration was every bit as spectacular as the journey itself. Our reporter was on site to cover the festivities.

The sense of anticipation was palpable as buses rolled into Tylösand, Sweden, on Saturday morning. The hotel, which in just 24 hours had been transformed into a millennium-themed bubble with the company’s branding in every corner, left no doubt about who had taken over for the weekend.

By lunchtime, employees had taken to the beach, where the party set the tone for the day. Sun, swimming, and laughter blended with music and dancing, creating an unmistakable atmosphere of togetherness.

When Da Buzz took the stage for the after-beach concert, the air filled with pure 2000s nostalgia. The group, which broke through at the turn of the millennium with hits like Do You Want Me and Alive, ignited cheers that carried far across the shoreline.

– This celebration is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. The fact that the company does this for its employees shows just how much they value taking care of us and showing appreciation for the people who work here, said one employee in the crowd.

As evening fell, everyone gathered for a banquet dinner. Later, when the dance floors opened, the attire shifted to the best of 00s fashion – everything from disco dresses to baggy jeans and glitter tops. The party buzzed with color, flashing accessories, and nostalgic styles that instantly transported guests back to the early millennium.

Then came the night’s biggest surprise. E-type stepped onto the stage to a reception so overwhelming that he admitted he “lost track of time” and was astonished by the energy of the crowd. The audience sang in unison to classics such as Life and This is the Way. When the sea of people broke into a resounding rendition of Happy Birthday to mark the artist’s 60th birthday, the moment became truly historic.

Later in the night, fireworks lit up the summer sky, underscoring the sense that this was a celebration unlike any other. Event project manager Emilia Bentzer summed up the evening with pride:

– We wanted to create an experience that truly reflects our culture – community, joy, and ambition. Seeing our employees enjoy themselves, dance, and celebrate together makes me incredibly proud. This was an evening we will never forget.

The celebration in Tylösand was more than just a party – it was a powerful expression of unity. A day filled with music, warmth, and joy, with employees at the very center. Twenty-five years have passed, but if this weekend proved anything, it’s that the journey has only just begun.
