Consid Wins Prestigious Hackathon in London
On September 17, a team from Consid took first place at Optimizely's Hackathon in London. With a tool that uses AI to convert a PDF into a website in Optimizely CMS13 SaaS, the team impressed the jury and claimed the victory.
The awards for Consid keep rolling in, and this time it was during a prestigious Hackathon organized by Optimizely in London on September 17.
A team from Consid S5, consisting of Andreas Jönsson, Johan Runesson, Mathijs van Wijnen, Vincent Holland, Daniel Ekblad, Tobias Jonsson, Christian Lüddeckens, and Niklas Larsson, emerged as the winners, taking first place and a prize check of £5,000.
– It felt amazing, the whole team has worked hard to get everything in place. This gives us even more energy to create value driven by innovation. It boosts both the team and our colleagues. It’s not often we give ourselves the time to create things outside of our regular deliveries. It’s through challenges that we learn new things and exchange ideas. This also builds on the culture we have at Consid, with innovation, entrepreneurship, and creating impact for the customer, says Christian Lüddeckens, digital strategist and regional manager at Consid.
The challenge was to create a page or application using Optimizely’s new SaaS CMS. The Consid team excelled with their tool that could convert a PDF using an AI-supported control panel for site generation. With the tool, they were able to create a fully-fledged website in Optimizely CMS13 SaaS, complete with page structure and blocks.
– We’ve enabled personalization and web-based experiments directly in the tool, accessible from the CMS. The frontend runs on Vercel with on-page editing, along with Optimizely’s new Visual Builder. We also use our own services in Azure and their AI services to enhance the solution. The frontend is built with the frameworks Svelte, Astro, and Tailwind, says Christian Lüddeckens, explaining how the solution came together:
– With time pressure and high ambition, you could say that the vacation saved us. That’s when we came up with the idea. Managing content is often the part customers find the most difficult. This is what we wanted to create a solution for, using AI among other things.
