Consid strengthens its position in embedded systems in Norway

Consid continues its growth journey in Norway and is strengthening its position in embedded systems, with the ambition to become a leading player in the field. Since the first embedded developer was hired in April last year, the operation has grown rapidly, and by spring 2026 the embedded team will consist of nine specialists – with clear plans for continued expansion.

Today, Consid’s Norwegian embedded consultants work with both software development and testing, primarily in C and C++, on assignments in defense, maritime industry and healthcare. Customers include major players in the industrial and health sectors, and as the number of employees grows, so does the customer base.

– We see a clear increase in interest from the market. When we present our consultants, customers quickly recognise the expertise and quality we represent, which leads to new and deeper collaborations, says Sindre Solberg, Head of the embedded initiative in Norway at Consid.

The ambition is for the embedded organisation to grow to between 15 and 20 people by the summer. In the longer term, the goal is even more ambitious.

– Within three to four years, we aim to build Norway’s leading embedded environment. It’s not just about growth in numbers, but about creating a strong technical, social and sustainable competence centre that attracts the best talent, says Sindre Solberg.

A key part of the initiative is a strong focus on individual development. Each consultant has a personal development plan and the opportunity to take on responsibility – either within technology, for example as a domain lead, or within leadership as a consulting manager.

– We combine clear career paths with a warm and inclusive working environment. Knowledge-sharing lunches, competence evenings and a strong culture of sharing help us grow together. The rapid development during our first year is clear proof that we are doing many things right – and we intend to continue on that path, says Sindre Solberg.

Growth is also supported by an established recruitment and sales organisation, as well as employees with extensive networks across Norway, both among candidates and customers. Looking ahead, Consid is seeking additional competencies within areas such as electronics and hardware, mechanics, systems engineering and project management.

– One of the greatest strengths of working at Consid is the culture. It is warm, inclusive and driven by engagement – and that is a crucial factor for our continued growth, concludes Sindre Solberg.
