Consid signs two major framework agreements with Svenska kraftnät
Tech company Consid has won two new framework agreements with Svenska kraftnät – one within IT architecture and one as a digital agency. The assignments span eight years and aim to modernise the authority’s digital infrastructure and strengthen its communication, both internally and externally.
Consid is one of three selected suppliers awarded a new framework agreement with Svenska kraftnät for IT consultancy services within the area of IT architecture. The agreement marks an important step in the modernisation and future-proofing of Sweden’s energy infrastructure. It came into force in June 2025 and spans eight years.
– Electrification is a central component of the ongoing societal transformation, and Svenska kraftnät plays a vital role in that transition. We are therefore extremely proud to have been entrusted with this important assignment. Our IT architects will contribute to efficient processes and a reliable IT infrastructure, which is crucial as Svenska kraftnät strengthens and expands the national transmission grid across large parts of Sweden – a major initiative to increase capacity in line with national energy policy goals, says Alexander Johansson, BID Manager at Consid.
That Consid was selected as one of only three suppliers after a rigorous two-stage evaluation process is, according to Johansson, a strong testament to the company’s capabilities.
– Not least because the evaluation considered a mix of factors, including delivery capacity and methods related to collaboration, innovation, and – most importantly – IT and information security, which is absolutely critical for Svenska kraftnät.
The assignment includes several architectural roles, tailored to the needs of each specific call-off. These roles include solution architect, domain architect, business architect, information architect, infrastructure architect, and integration architect.
– Previously, Svenska kraftnät secured access to IT architects via a consultancy broker model. Now, we have the opportunity to establish a closer and more collaborative partnership than before – enabling deeper dialogue and greater value creation.
Deliveries will primarily be based at Svenska kraftnät’s headquarters in Sundbyberg, but may also include other locations and projects.
Consid appointed as Svenska kraftnät’s new digital agency
In addition to the IT architecture framework agreement, Consid has also been appointed as Svenska kraftnät’s digital agency. This framework agreement is aimed at supporting the authority with advisory services, analysis, and strategy, as well as the development and implementation of both existing and new digital communication platforms and services.
– This assignment aligns perfectly with Consid’s comprehensive offering within Customer Experience (CX) and Employee Experience (EX). It also supports Svenska kraftnät’s ambition to further develop its digital channels in response to growing demands for accessibility and clarity in both internal and external communication, says Mattias Hesselring, Key Account Manager at Consid.
The agreement is intended to meet Svenska kraftnät’s needs for digital agency services and may include deliveries across the entire organisation.
