Consid Signs Major Contract with Alta Municipality in Norway
The Nordic IT company, Consid, recently inked a contract with Alta Municipality for the development and operation of a new intranet, spanning up to eight years. The agreement is estimated to be worth a maximum of eight million Norwegian kroner.
– For us, it’s a fantastic opportunity. We have previous experience working with municipal organizations in Norway. They operate with high demands for sustainability, aiming to reduce their climate impact by 40 percent by 2023. We can contribute to this within the scope of our work, says Steffen Breen, CEO of Consid in Norway.
The Norwegian government has set clear guidelines for the country to become completely climate-neutral by 2050. In this endeavor, stringent targets have been set for how municipalities should act. When Alta Municipality recently procured services for a new intranet, sustainability and the environment were crucial aspects taken into account.
– Sustainability and green development are central issues for Consid. It permeates everything we do and was a crucial factor in our involvement with Alta. We hold several important and weighty certifications, including from the Science Based Targets Initiative, which means we are among the most sustainable companies in the world, says Nathalie Besèr, Sustainability Manager at Consid.
Consid secured the procurement for the new intranet, which will be built on Sitevision. The contract initially spans two years with the possibility of extension for 2+2+2 years—maximally eight years. The financial compensation follows a similar structure with a maximum value of eight million.
– Our goal is simple; we aim to deliver a product and service that meets and exceeds expectations. Both here in Norway and within Consid overall, we have extensive experience in building similar services within Sitevision. Everything is in place for us to deliver. Contracts like these ensure continued expansion and growth for Consid in Norway, says Steffen Breen.
Alta Municipality was drawn to Consid’s environmental efforts and experience with Sitevision.
