Consid Wins Gold at the Publishing Prize with “Two Sides of Sex”

Two Sides of Sex was developed in collaboration with Region Sörmland, the County Administrative Board of Sörmland, and the Swedish Prosecution Authority. The project aims to spark dialogue, encourage reflection, and increase awareness of Sweden’s consent law among young adults.

Two Sides of Sex is a short story collection consisting of five narratives, each presenting two individuals’ perspectives on the same event. By depicting one situation from two sides, the project group sought to deepen understanding that sex and consent always involve multiple people—each experience equally important. The material is now used as an educational resource in schools across Sweden and is also available as audio stories on Spotify.

– The goal was to create something relevant, respectful, and inclusive—a material that invites conversation rather than dictates how things should be. Seeing how Two Sides of Sex has been received, and now recognized by the Publishing Prize, feels fantastic, says Lindevall.

The Publishing Prize is one of Sweden’s most prestigious communication awards, recognizing outstanding projects in editorial communication, film, and web. The winners are selected by an independent jury of experts in communication, journalism, and design.
